On a road trip from Montreal and Hamilton, we stopped in Brockville on the St. Lawrence River. It turns out Brockville is the home of Canada's first railroad tunnel, which extends about 1/3rd of a mile from the river into town. The tunnel was abandoned by the railroads, but resurrected by the city of Brockville. Now the tunnel boasts great light shows in a moist 55 degree environment. The tunnel made side excursion well worth taking.
