I glanced up, and there were angels.
Seven angels, to be exact.

Which, makes sense, given they were carved from cottonwood trees by artist Jose Lucero.
I wanted to envision them as guardian angels, keeping vigil over downtown Santa Fe, NM.
In reality, the angels seem to be staring in wonder and awe. Fitting for a city whose name means "holy faith."
